Taeyeon and Seohyun To Join Tiffany as Hosts of MBC’s ‘Music Core’
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Seohyun have been casted as the new MCs for MBC’s “Show! Music Core” alongside fellow member Tiffany. Park Sukwon, the PD of “Music Core”, revealed in a phone call with TVReport, “Taeyeon and Seohyun will take over for the role of Yuri. We have decided to use a three MC formation.”
This is not the first time that Taeyeon and Seohyun will serve as MCs on “Music Core”. They have proven their talents in the past as special guest hosts. Park Sukwon also said, “Taeyeon and Seohyun are not temporary special MCs. Starting from this week, they will continue to work with us as permanent hosts.” After leaving “Show! Music Core” last week, Yuri is expected to begin acting and will take a role in the SBS TV drama “Fashion King”, which will start in March.

‘The Boys’ Surpasses 30 Million Views on YouTube
As if Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” surpassing sixty million views on YouTube was not enough, the music video for “The Boys” Korean version on SMTown’s YouTube page has just passed thirty million views.
“The Boys”, in contrast to Girls’ Generation’s previous songs such as “Gee” and “Oh!”, showed off a more feminine and sexy side of them instead of a cute and bubbly style. The song was written and produced by Yoo Youngjin and Teddy Riley, while the dance choreography was created by Rino Nakasone.
The girls have also achieved some amazing feats despite not promoting in Korea until later in the year, such as winning six consecutive times on KBS Music Bank K-Chart for “The Boys”, and winning a triple crown on both M! Countdown and Inkigayo as well. Congratulations to Girls’ Generation on their latest achievement.

Wall Street Journal Online Covers Girls’ Generation
Girls’ Generation was recently featured on the website for the “Wall Street Journal”, one of the largest newspapers in the United States, with many readers worldwide. An entry posted on the website’s “Scene Asia” blog discussed Girls’ Generation’s appearance on tonight’s “Late Show with David Letterman”, their global popularity, and the recent SMTown concert held in New York.
The Wall Street Journal continued their coverage with a video segment on “Asia Today”, which focused on introducing Girls’ Generation and detailed their popularity worldwide. Unfortunately, the correspondent who was interviewed in the segment portrayed several members of Girls’ Generation as only being singing or dancing specialists. She also incorrectly suggested that the group’s fanbase in Korea was made up of only one gender and age group, namely older males. However, the correspondent accurately stated earlier in the video that Girls’ Generation’s fanbase is spread throughout all age ranges and among both males and females. You can check out the clip below.

J.ESTINA Releases New Video Advertisement
J.ESTINA has released a new S/S fashion film advertisement. Modeling different bags along with J.ESTINA jewelry, each Girls’ Generation member portrays individual unique charms in the video. Each shot focuses on a member with a purse, bag, or piece of jewelry. The ad has managed to display J.ESTINA products, all the while capturing Girls’ Generation’s elegance. SONEs have grown accustomed to seeing Girls Generation carrying J.ESTINA products in both advertisements and in public.
J.ESTINA’s commercials seem to have taken a simple approach to the concept behind every set. Rather than a distracting environment, they place Girls’ Generation in simple rooms that bring focus to the members and their products.
